Funeral services for Delbert Hilsenbeck, 94, of St Paul, Minn., formerly a longtime resident of Perry, have been entrusted to Carris Family Funeral Home of Perry.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 8 from 1-2 p.m., with the family present at Carris Family Funeral Home.

Graveside services immediately following at 2:45 p.m. at the Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson.

Delbert Hilsenbeck was born on June 3, 1919, at Winner, S.D., to Elmer and Mabel Hilsenbeck.

He met Amanda Hathaway, and they were married on June 7, 1941, at Ravenwood, Mo.

Delbert farmed in the Bagley area, but most of his working years were spent doing appliance and refrigeration repair in the Perry and Boone areas.

When he was not working, he enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He also enjoyed traveling and camping.

Delbert was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Amanda Hilsenbeck, his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his four children, sons Arnold W. Hilsenbeck and his wife Charlotte of Phillipsburg, N.J., Kenneth L. Hilsenbeck and his wife Debbie of Sutherlin, Ore., Gary D. Hilsenbeck and his wife Darlene of Jeffersonville, Ind., and daughter Nancy J. Axness-Husted and her husband Wayne of St. Paul, Minn., one sister, Maxine Hoyle of Trenton, Mo., 15 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.
