Mabel Knisley, 88, of Perry died on Saturday, Dec. 21 at Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to family and may be left at the Carris Family Funeral Home.
Mabel E. Knisley was born on Oct. 13, 1925, at Redfield to Ray and Ada Mae (Shell) Madren. Her family moved to Perry when she was young and she attended school at Perry Community High School.
She was united in marriage to Harry H. Knisley at New London, Mo. Mabel worked sharpening knives at the East packing plant in Perry and at Mutt’s market.
Mabel loved baseball and softball and played on a travelling league during the world war II. She enjoyed bowling and fishing with Harry. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge.
Mabel was preceded in death by husband, Harry Knisley, parents, Ray and Ada Mae Madren, and a daughter, Glenna Rae, siblings, Bob Madren, Gertrude Kehoe, Virgil Madren, Bill Madren and Glenn Madren.
Survivors include her son, Robert Knisley of Perry, step-daughter, Mary Jo Knisley Williams of Granger, granddaughter, Sondra Lynn Ryan, Orlando, Fla., and great grandchildren, Bailey Anthony Ryan, Conner James Ryan and a third grandson due in April.
