Randall Richard Cooper was called home on Jan. 5, 2017 in Tulsa, Okla.
Randy was born November 17,1957 in Denison, Iowa to parents Richard and Jeanette Cooper.
Throughout his life, he spent time living on the family farm in Charter Oak, Iowa; as well as living in Sioux City, Iowa; Bloomington, Minn.; Bismarck, N.D.; Marion, Iowa; Perry, Iowa; and finally settling in Tulsa, Okla., for the past 35 years.
Randy graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Iowa in 1976 and spent time working at Woodward State Hospital in Woodward, Iowa; detailing cars at Lauterbach in Perry, Iowa; and spent several years working at his family’s parts store, Parts Mart in Perry, Iowa.
Randy was married to Brenda Dorpinghaus of Coon Rapids, Iowa in March of 1982 and together they had 3 children, Jeremy, Joe, and Daniel.
Randy had a deep love for God and enjoyed spending time with his mother doing their daily reading of Jesus Calling together. He also enjoyed time with his family, was an avid coin collector, and loved to draw, listen to music, and look at classic cars.
Randy is survived by his mother, Jeanette Cooper of Broken Arrow, Okla.; son Jeremy Cooper and wife Betty and their two sons, Joel and Eli of Bagley, Iowa; son Joseph Carter of Wagoner, Okla.; brother Rick Cooper and wife Jolie of Tulsa, Okla. and their children, Matthew and Katie Cooper, Kaitlin Cooper, and Dory Cooper; brother Jeff Cooper and wife Danielle of Broken Arrow, Okla.; sister-in-law Angela Cooper of Tulsa, Okla.. Randy is preceded in death by his father, Richard Cooper, his brother, Douglas Cooper, his infant son, Curtis Cooper, and his son, Daniel Cooper.
