March 7

A caller said his neighbor at 1007 Dewey St., Apt. 8, was playing loud music. An officer responded and advised the subject of the complaint.

March 8

Alfanid Hernandez came into the police department and reported she had applied for loan assistance online and believes it is a scam.

March 9

Nathan Benedict was issued a citation for dog at large, third offense.

Jonathan Orellana-Ordonez was issued a citation for parking in a handicap parking space at Perry Park Apartments.

March 10

Kum and Go on First Avenue reported a gas drive-off in the amount of $70.

A caller complained about a barking dog in the area of the Perry High School football field. An officer located dog at A and A Performance and attempted to contact the owner.

March 11

Araceli Chacon, 519 Willis Ave., Perry, was issued a citation for dog at large, third offense.

March 12

A caller said a man came to her door and told her he lived there. She told him he was mistaken, that it was her house, and she asked him to leave, which he did, telling her perhaps his house was on 8th Street. The caller believed the bewhiskered man was possibly intoxicated.

A caller said people were fighting in the house next door. Officers responded to 1313 W. 2nd St., Perry, and found Tamara Whitfield, 51, and Anthony Flinn, 44, fighting over a cat and a sandwich.

March 13

A vehicle driven by Ruby Bladimir Ramirez, 16, of 2002 Lucinda St., Perry, was struck from behind at 18th and Warford Streets by a vehicle driven by Devin Aubrey Goehring, 18, of 2209 Willis Ave., Perry. Goehring claimed he was blinded by the sun and could not see the Ramirez vehicle was stopped in front of him. He was cited for failure to maintain assured distance, and Ramirez was cited for no proof of insurance. Damage to Ramirez’s vehicle was estimated at $1,500 and to Goehring’s at $500.

March 14

Brandon Lee Nevins, 33, 2501 Patricia Dr., Urbandale, was arrested on a charge of fifth degree theft.

March 17

Adair Sue Sturgis of Lincoln, Neb., informed the Perry Police she found a stray and injured white German shepherd in the vicinity of 26th Street and Iowa Highway 141. She said she took the dog with her to her animal rescue in Lincoln and was now calling to inquire whether the dog has an owner. The case was referred to the Humane Society of Perry, which was able to identify the owner of the dog as McClaine. McClaine retrieved the dog from Lincoln.

Officials at the Raccoon Valley Bank, 1202 2nd St., Perry, advised Perry Police they had been passed a counterfeit $5 bill.

James Hubert Exline of Jefferson was traveling west on Iowa Highway 141 about two miles west of Perry near the Raccoon River when he heard a noise and then the rear window of his vehicle shattered. A gunshot was the suspected cause. The case was referred to the Dallas County Sheriff for investigation.

March 20

Perry Police and Dallas County EMS responded to a call at Bar Jac Mobile Estates, where a 5-year-old boy was stuck in a tree. The child was released and treated.

Debra Kay Anderson of Perry was bitten at the Perry Dog Park by a dog belonging to Amy Nicole Booth of Perry. Anderson was treated at the Dallas County Hospital. Booth provided evidence the dog is up to date on all vaccinations.

A vehicle driven by Ryan Jacob Ayers, 21, of 135 325th St., Perry, was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Chandler Carrick,of 2224 Warford St., Perry. Carrick was cited for failure to sop in a sure and clear distance, and Ayers was cited for careless driving. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $2,100.

Ian Stucker, 15, of 1720 W 5th St., Perry, was charged with fifth degree theft and possession of alcohol underage.

Michael Benton, 30, of 924 Central Ave., Perry, was arrested on a Perry warrant for domestic abuse assault, second offense.

March 5

Nicole Rios-Tonche, 30, of 2110 4th St., Perry, was charged with driving while barred.

Brandon Stucker, 16, of 956 335th St., Woodward, was arrested for fifth degree theft.

March 6

Autmn Hiddleson, 14, of 103 S 1st St., Dawson, was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of prescription medication and possession of marijuana.

Beatriz Whipple, 25, of 2726 Eastern Ave., Perry, was charged with domestic abuse assault causing serious bodily injury.

Edwin Ochoa Melena, 21, of 1716 W 3rd St., Perry, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

March 7

Ellen Olsen, 29, of 18113 E Ave., Dawson, was charged with driving under suspension.

March 8

Danny Fees, 22, was arrested on a US Marshall’s warrant for possession of a weapon and given pretrial release.

Paloma Perez, 17, of 2107 Otley Ave., Perry, was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

March 11

Joey Ann Godwin, 33, of 5209 S.W. 9th St., #17, Des Moines, was arrested at 10th Street and Iowa Highway 141 and charged with OWI.

March 12

Geoffrey Roberts, 22, of 2907 Warford St., #6, Perry, was arrested and charged with three counts of third degree sexual abuse, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to a minor.

Janet Bivanco, 16, of 812 4th St., Perry, was arrested for driving under suspension.

March 14

James Ross Fillmore, 24, of 2708 Amick Ave, Des Moines, was arrested at 2nd and Warford Streets for OWI first offense.

March 15

Kevin Clark Keller II, 18, of Des Moines, was arrested and charged with fifth degree theft in connection with articles missing from the home of Brian and Brenda Thompson, 309 7th St., Perry. Later the same day, Keller was arrested and charged with criminal trespass at the Thompson home.

March 16

Heath Oliver Moreland, 14, of Fort Dodge, was arrested on a charge of simple assault and released in the custody of his mother, Angela Moreland.

Bryan Van Smith, Jr., 18, of 2612 Taft St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of possession of

drug paraphernalia.

Joey Ann Godwin, 33, of 915 W. 2nd St., Perry, was arrested on a Polk County warrant on a charge of probation violation on an original charge of assault with a weapon.

Brandon Dean Embrey, 31, of 1607 W. 2nd St., Perry, was arrested on a charge of driving while revoked.

March 17

Scott Michael Bruse, 24, of 3306 Bowdoin St., Des Moines, was arrested on a charge of driving under suspension and OWI, first offense.

March 20

Nicholas Michael Arroyo, 27, of 705 4th St., Perry, was arrested on a Dallas County warrant on a charge of violation of probation on an original charge of violating a no-contact order.

March 22

Henry Rodrigo Soriano-Alvagrenga, 18, of 1927 W. 3rg St., Perry, was arrested for OWI, first offense, and possession of alcohol under age. He was also cited for driving without a license.

March 23

Yoana Arreola-Gonzalez, 23, of 2923 Kading Rd., Perry, was arrested for domestic assault.
