Perry Fine Arts will sponsor Grace Alone and Friends, a program of gospel music, on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 2 p.m. in Perry High School’s Performing Arts Center, 1200 18th St. in Perry. Grace Alone, a local women’s ensemble, will take the stage both as a fundraiser for the Perry Fine Arts Concert Series and as an opportunity to share their faith through music. The group has sung at many local churches and community events over the last decade. They coordinated the Gospel in the Park concerts for several years and annually host the Honor and Praise concert at Christ Lutheran Church. Members of Grace Alone include Connie Sheehy, Terri Cooper, Shelly Golightly, Sue Schulteis, Karen Schulteis and Karen Menz. They perform a variety of styles of spiritual songs, including old fashioned gospel and more contemporary arrangements, both accompanied and a capella. A couple of their friends, Dave Menz and Eily Mickelson, will add even more variety to the program. Fine Arts concerts are free and open to all. Donations are accepted. The Performing Arts Center is handicapped accessible.
