Area artists could be seen demonstrating their work in various businesses in Perry during the fifth annual Art Harvest Tour.

Sally Farley showcased her handspun yarn inside Mary Rose Collection while Deborah Zisko worked on a nature painting. Behind them, Kay Weishaar was selling soaps and other handcrafted items.

Other Perry stops on the tour include Perry Perk, featuring soaps and honey from Ada’s Acres, and Betsy Peterson Designs, featuring art from Betsy Peterson, Eric Peterson, the Red Door Press and Emily Verdoorn.

The Art Harvest Tour features around a dozen stops on the approximately 90-mile loop around the Des Moines River Valley. In addition to the Perry stops, other locations include Woodward, Ames, Boone and Ogden.

The tour continues until 5 p.m. today, Saturday, Sept. 29 and from 10-5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30.
