Rowley Masonic Community assisted living residents continued their monthly tradition of delivering baked goods to various departments in Perry.

Plates of freshly baked oatmeal cookies were delivered to the Dallas County EMS building in Perry on Monday, Sept. 10.

“Thank you for all that you do for us,” said Teresa Painter, the assisted living unit manager. “We sure appreciate you.”

And to prove it, the residents baked plates full of oatmeal cookies for the members of the EMS department. Painter said that resident Bev Halling added extra cinnamon and sugar on top of the cookies.

“You can’t eat just one,” Halling said to Clint Nelsen.

This was the third department to be awarded with treats baked by the assisted living residents. The residents delivered cookies to the Perry Police Department in July and the Perry Volunteer Fire Department in August.

Painter said the residents are looking to continue the tradition next month with a different department.
