A two vehicle accident was reported near the intersection of Highway 141 and 170th St. No injuries reported. Damage to both vehicles estimated at $24,000. One driver was cited for failure to stop in a safe and assured clear distance.

A Menlo resident reported that someone broke in to property owned in the 34000 block of Del Rio Rd., Dexter. A door had been kicked in and several items were missing.

A Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

A Dallas Center resident was arrested in the 100 block of 14th Street in Dallas Center for assault causing bodily injury and disorderly conduct.


An Urbandale resident was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of OWI.


A two vehicle accident was reported in the 17000 block of Highway 141 Diagonal. Dallas County EMS responded and transported one individual to Dallas County Hospital. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $18,000. A driver was cited for failure to provide proof of financial liability.

A Palmyra, Nebraska resident was arrested at the 110 mile marker of Interstate 80, for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.


An Ames resident was arrested at the 118 mile marker of Interstate 80 for possession of a controlled substance and operation without registration.


August 20, 2018


A Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for probation violation-original charge of possession of a controlled substance.


A Des Moines resident was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear-original charge of driving while license suspended.


An Ankeny resident was cited and released in the 26000 block of N Ave., for driving while suspended.


An Adel resident was cited and released in the 33000 block of Ute Ave., for driving while suspended, operation without registration and no insurance.


A single vehicle accident was reported near the 100 mile marker of Interstate 80. No injuries reported. Damage to the vehicle estimated at $7000 and $4000 to the cable barriers.


A two vehicle accident was reported in the 26000 block of N Avenue. One driver was transported to Methodist Main by the Dallas County EMS and the other was taken to Methodist Main by private vehicle. Damage to both vehicles was estimated at $25,000. One driver was cited for failure to stop in an assured clear distance.
