Perry Elks Lodge 407 hosted a Flag Day program on Thursday, June 14 in the Josh Davis Memorial Plaza.

Lecturing Knight Amber Green gave a brief history of the flag during the program. Members of the Perry Boy Scout Troop 127 brought in eight different flags while Green explained the changes in the flags over the years.

Vietnam veteran Rabi Decker was the guest speaker during the program. He gave a brief tribute to the flag and talked about what it meant to him as a veteran.

Elks members sold baked goods and American flags at a booth during the Perry Farmers Market before the program. All proceeds will go toward the Veterans Fund.
