The American Legion Post 85 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2060 hosted a Memorial Day service on Monday, May 28 at the Perry Performing Arts Center.

VFW Post Commander Ron Leber gave a Memorial Day reading, followed by American Legion Commander Ron Pratt.

Dr. Randall McCaulley sang two selections during the service, “Shenandoah” and “American Anthem.”

Roll call was read by Pratt of veterans who died this year. The colors were retired at the end of the service inside. Audience members then went outside for the ceremonial gun salute, followed by the playing of taps.
