Eddie Diaz recently submitted his resignation as the principal at St. Patrick’s Catholic School. Diaz will not return for the 2018-19 school year.
“Thanks to the support of staff and families we have helped increase enrollment, tuition, academic achievement and above all that family feeling you get when you step into the building,” Diaz said in his resignation letter. “After much contemplation, I have decided that it is best to move on.”
He went on thank the students, teachers, staff, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the community for the continued support.
“Thank you for accepting me into the St. Pat’s family, moving forward, please know that St. Pat’s will always be near to my heart,” Diaz said in the letter. “As my family and I move forward I ask for your prayers so that God continues to show us the best path to follow.”
Rev. Chris Reising also sent a letter on April 3 to parents detailing Diaz’s resignation.
“We want to thank Eddie for his hard work and dedication to our students and school,” Reising said in his letter.
Reising went on to write that the search for a new principal has begun. A committee of stakeholders will be formed to assist in selecting a new principal.
“We can assure you that we are looking for someone who can help us build on the good foundation we have, and take us further on our journey of being the best Catholic school that we can be,” Reising said in the letter.
