Tracy Thacker-Bess, of Woodward, had her jury trial scheduled for Monday, March 19, according to court documents on Thursday, Jan. 25. Thacker-Bess was charged with two counts of child endangerment with bodily injury on Sunday, Jan. 14.


The bond for Thacker-Bess has also been upped from $5,000 to $15,000 dollars cash-only, according to court documents.


An arraignment is set for Friday, Feb. 2 at 9 a.m, followed by a pretrial conference on Friday, Feb. 9 at 9 a.m.


The Woodward Police Department was contacted by Thacker-Bess’ husband at 10:50 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14, who said she was intoxicated.


“From the investigation that we conducted on scene and some of the statements from the victims and the statement of the father, we were able to come to a conclusion that (there was) possible abuse and injuries consistent with the possibility of abuse,” said Woodward Police Chief, Joe Cox.


Woodward Police describe two separate incidents of harm in the Criminal Complaint:


Thacker-Bess “knowingly pushed [the child] against the wall causing a bump on the back of [their] head. [The child] also had a red mark on [their] shoulder.”


The child recalled more from the incident to the Woodward Police Department.


″[The child] stated that [their] mother also held [them] down in the bathtub of cold water by wrapping her hands around [their] neck.”


Thacker-Bess threatened her child’s life, the Complaint reads:


″[The child] also stated that [their] mother told [them] that if [they] tell [their] Dad what happened, she will kill them.”


In addition, a second incident was filed with Thacker-Bess’ other child:


“Thacker-Bess knowingly placed her [child] in danger. [The child] had a bruise and a bump on [their] that could not be explained by [their] mother, Tracy Thacker-Bess.”


According to the Criminal Complaint, Thacker-Bess, said that her child “fell on the dog kennel the day before, causing scratches on [their] face.”
