The Perry Police Department responded to a report of simple assault at the Crooked Rail in the 1000 block of Second Street.

Officer Wayne Schuttler reported destruction of property at Park and West Fifth Streets. Advised that four juveniles were writing on the door of the band shell.

Lisa Suzanne Jacobson, of Perry, reported false pretenses/swindle in the 2600 block of McKinley. Advised that they received a fraudulent call, stating that their daughter had been kidnapped.


The Perry Fire Department responded to a report of a car fire in the at Eighth and McKinley Streets.

The Perry Police Department responded to a report of harassment in the 900 block of Willis Avenue.


The Perry Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at a hog confinement building in the 10000 block of 160th Street in Dawson.


The Perry Police Department responded to a report of shoplifting from Kum & Go in the 1200 block of First Avenue.


The Perry Fire Department received a report of a hog confinement on fire again in the 110000 block of 160th Street.


The Perry Police Department responded to a report of a gas drive off in the 2600 block of Willis Avenue.


November 2, 2017


Toni Marie Klemish, of Perry, reported the theft of a 20-22 inch black bicycle with green and silver on it in the 2600 block of Taft. Advised that the suspect left a bike behind their shed as well.


Carlene Mehls Coleman, of Perry, advised that a CenturyLink employee informed them that their phone line had been cut in the 1100 block of Second Street.


Jacqueline Wittrock Riekena, of West Des Moines, reported destruction of property in the 1200 block of Willis Avenue. Advised that someone had tried to remove a door latch from the north rear door of her building, which also had a padlock, but the suspect was unable to gain entry.


The Perry Police Department received a report of harassment in the 400 block of Fifth Street.
