The Bock Family Foundation, Inc., located in Perry, Iowa, was established by the Larry Bock and Barbara Bock Estates in 2002. The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce that $59,423.50 was awarded to 26 grant recipients today at a grant presentation held at the Perry Public Library. To date, the Bock Family Foundation, Inc. has awarded grants totaling $1,700,373, including grants awarded in this grant cycle. The recipients of Fall 2017 grant awards are:


First United Methodist Church, Perry: $1,933.50 for LED Cross & flame Sculptures to light front of the church.


Dallas County Conservation Board: $5,000 for “Let’s Connect” (Perry to Woodward trail project); and $5,000.00 for Connector Phase I Construction.


Perry Police Department: $2,500 towards Zetron 9 Channel patch card for radio communications.


Perry Volunteer Fire Department: $1,000 towards the purchase of 2 custom made hosebed covers.


Dallas County Public Health Nursing Services: $1,000 for vouchers for free bus ride to health/social service appointments.


Perry High School Performing Arts Center: $1,200 towards sound/lighting equipment, lighting, and set line to fly system.


Perry Elementary: $1,360 for milk tickets K-2nd grade students (40 students for 1 semester).


P.A.C.E.S.: $7,500 for PreK-5th Grade 2017-18 program.


Dallas County Hospital Foundation: $1,750 towards mannequins, masks & training defibrillator for CPR training.


Boy Scout Troop 127: $500 for camping fees and uniforms.


Everybody Wins! Iowa: $1,500 towards Perry Elementary Power Read program 2017-18 school year.


Perry Ministerial Association: $4,000 to the Good Samaritan Fund.


Rowley Masonic Community: $2,000 towards the purchase of Med-Mizer RS1000 therapy machine.


Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church: $1,500 for LED Lighting, window replace and caulk, and LED on Steeple light.


Humane Society of Perry: $2,000 for Spay/Neuter Services.


Fullhart/Carnegie Charitable Trust: $1,500 towards the WW1 educational programming series.


Perry Area Child Development Center: $5,000 for Scholarships.


Youth & Shelter Services, Inc. (YSS): $1,080 for FaDSS program providing basic necessities to families.


Mercy Clinics – Perry: $2,500 for purchase of food and supplies for the Blessing Box.


Pegasus Inc.: $600 for the construction of a larger work area for editing videos.


HomeCare Services Inc. of Dallas County: $2,000 towards an ADA vehicle.


Partners in Family Development: $3,000 towards a BlockFest traveling exhibit.


Hope Wellness Center (Genesis Development): $1,500 towards fitness equipment for exercise center.


Minburn Area Fire Fighters Association: $2,000 towards the purchase of a hand-held radio compliant with the new Dallas County 700 Mhz radio system.


Woodward Public Library: $500 towards charging stations for cell phones and laptops, and towards a circulation software system.


The Bock Family Foundation, Inc. is a nonprofit supporting organization for the benefit of organizations operated for religious, charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes. Projects funded must be located in Dallas County. Applicants must be a nonprofit organization or a unit of state or local government. The Foundation awards grants in the fall and the spring. Application deadlines are September 1 and March 1 respectively.
