Registration to participate in the Carnegie’s Festival of Trees has begun and will subside on Nov. 3. The free to participate festival is looking for organizations, businesses, or individuals who would like to contribute to this year’s festival.
The set-up times for those who participate are both Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Thursday, Nov. 16 from 12 to 4 p.m. (All entries must be in place by 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 as the exhibit opens on Saturday, Nov. 18. The items will then be put on display through Dec. 29 and taken down on designated dates the first week of Jan. 2018.
Items for display are not limited to just trees; wreaths, a table arrangement or unique creation are encouraged as well. In the past, the carnegie has had a wooden coat rack, a tree of rubber gloves, bicycle wheels and even bicycles, seed bags, and more, as well as traditional trees. If interested in putting a tree on display, it can be any size and must be artificial.
This is a free event and is no cost to participate.
