1. Supervisors approved a resolution for Inter Fund Transfer from the county’s economic development fund to its capital improvements fund.
The transfer will not exceed $300,000, and is set to be paid back into the economic development fund by April.
“It’s just so the county does not have to go borrow money elsewhere,” said County Auditor Shelly Barber. “We can use funds that we currently hold that are not set aside for something else.”
2. Supervisor Greg Moeller shared recorded minutes from the Department of Corrections recent board of supervisors meeting, at which he said the board voted in favor of a land transfer.
The minutes explained the transfer of state land at the Mount Pleasant Correctional Facility to Henry County for a new law enforcement facility. Officials from the DOC and the department of administrative services met with local officials from Henry County to discuss the transfer.
“The DOC expressed an interest in incorporating a new law enforcement center into its current operations at the correctional facility by having prison inmates provide meals for the jail and sharing equipment with the county to maintain the grounds,” Moeller read from the meeting minutes.
3. The board of supervisors approved the final plat of Bear County Estates in Section 23 Baltimore Township as meeting the zoning ordinances of Henry County.
