Kevin Lopez reported breaking and entering in the 1900 block of Second Street. Reported that someone had gone into his house and rummaged through his cabinets. Believes money was also taken.


Ronald Wade Glenn, of Altoona, reported breaking and entering in the 2000 block Second Street.

Manuel Jesus Mayancela-Carchi, of Perry, reported that someone had stolen his passport from his vehicle in the 800 block of North Street.


The Perry PD responded to a report of harassment by phone or email in the 1400 block of Seventh Street.


Jereme Raymond Messner, of 812 16th Street, Perry, was arrested at Fourth and Otley and charged with driving while suspended.


Connie Elaine Culbertson, of Perry, reported that someone had stolen her purse and iPhone from her vehicle in the 2400 block of Parkview Place.


October 6, 2017


Cody Allen Laird, of 803 Third Street, Apt. 2, Perry, was arrested in the 700 block of West Third Street on a Perry Police Department warrant for fourth-degree theft. He was also charged with possessing of drug paraphernalia, possession of burglars tools and possession of methamphetamine, third offense.


The Perry Police Department responded to a report of harassment by phone or email in the 2500 block of Lucinda.


Sandra Jean Holmes, of Perry, reported theft from a building in the 1100 block of First Street. Advised that a worker from Casa De Oro told them that someone had slid under the garage door and stole a saw that was in the cleaners.


A 13-year-old male from Perry was arrested at 16th and North in Perry and charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.


October 5, 2017


A caller from Jacksonville, Iowa, reported destruction of property in the 1100 block of Willis Avenue. Advised his dad’s vehicle was parked in front of the Hotel Pattee and a window had been broken. Nothing was missing from the vehicle.


Luis Angel Arreola Chavez, of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 1400 block of Sixth Street. Advised that he was remodeling a home, and people had been entering the residents when he wasn’t there. Reported that property has been damaged, door handles had been vandalized.


A vehicle driven by Arica Bowman, of Caroll, was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Highway 141, approaching the intersection when a vehicle driven by Lowell Lindemann failed to stop at the stop light and struck Bowman in the right passenger side. Damage estimated at $6,000. Lindemann was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.


October 4, 2017


Arthur Henry Mayfield, of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 2100 block of Third Street. Advised that someone struck his mailbox with a vehicle.


Sandi Jean Potter, employee at Dollar General, reported shoplifting in the 700 block of First Street.


Homer Lee Perkins, of Perry, reported breaking and entering in the 1700 block of North Street. Advised that his shed had been broken into and a small battery charger is missing.


The Perry PD responded to a report of harassment in the 300 block of First Avenue.


Jennifer Lynn Ray reported breaking and entering in the 800 block of Fourth Street. Advised that someone had attempted to break into her garage.
