Bouton Breakfast - Saturday, Oct. 7
The town of Bouton will host a breakfast from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 7. Adult tickets cost $7 dollars and children ages 5 to 12 cost $5 dollars. Those under 5 are able to eat free. Bake sale items will also be available for purchase. The breakfast is all you can eat. Anyone is invited to attend.
High Trestle Hawk Watch - Sunday, Oct. 8
On Sunday, Oct. 8, attendees can experience the “River of Raptors” as hawks, eagles, and falcons make their way to to the south through the Des Moines River valley. Anyone is welcome to the event and bird watchers will be able to help identify the species. Parking is on the east side of the QF in Boone County and a half-mile walk on level group will take place.
Children’s Halloween Costume Swap - Monday, Oct. 9.
The Perry Public Library will offer a children’s costume swap lasting from Monday, Oct. 2 to Monday, Oct. 25. The goal of the event is to trade clean, gently-used costumes to the library in order to swap for other costumes. Swap out one costume for each costume you donate.
