On Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, the third 2017 meeting of 100+ People for Perry occurred in the Cellar at La Poste in Perry, Iowa. The group, consisting of local residents, couples and community supporters, gathered to support one Perry not-for-profit project.

After hearing from three randomly selected projects, the group elected to support the Perry High School Research & Design project.

Upon the election to support the Research & Design program, the members of 100+ People for Perry each wrote a check for $100 dollars to be used for the project. After the thirty minute meeting concluded and all funds are accounted for, 100+ People for Perry will support the project with donations totaling $5,600.

The next 100+ People for Perry meeting will occur on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. (social time 6:30 p.m.) at La Poste, 1219 Warford Street in Perry, Iowa.

One Hundred+People for Perry’s mission is to invest in Perry’s future through supporting current charities, non-profits, worthy projects which advance the quality of life. After seven initial meetings, the group has contributed $46,000 to seven local projects.

The goal of One Hundred+ People for Perry is to make four large donations each year, which will impact our community. Each contribution is to stay 100% in the community; no national charities will be considered. Each charity, non-profit, worthy cause must be a 501 (c)(3) or sponsored by a 501 (c)(3), be project based, and benefit the Perry community.
