The annual Latino Festival will take place on Saturday, Aug. 26 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The celebration will take place in downtown Perry.


Dance Fundraiser for Puppy Jake Foundation - Saturday, Aug. 26


A dance fundraiser will take place at the Lake Robbins Ballroom from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Benefits for the event will go raise money towards the “Puppy Jake Foundation,” a local organization that provides service dogs to wounded Veterans.


Unveiling of ‘Born of Fire’ sculpture lights - Monday, Aug. 28


Perry’s newest sculpture ‘Born of Fire’ will be celebrated on Monday, Aug. 28 at the official unveiling. At 7:30 p.m., food such as grilled goods and ice cream will be made available, following the unveiling taking place at 8:30 p.m. The event will take place on the boulevard at the intersection of 2nd and Willis. The ‘Born of Fire’ sculpture is the first of a four-part sculpture series.
