A 17-year-old male was arrested in the 900 block of Willis Avenue and charged with OWI - first offense.


Mardoqueo Gonzalez, of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 800 block of Graceland Avenue. Reported that two juveniles broke a door on his shed.


A 15-year-old male from Perry was arrested in the 1100 block of Willis Avenue and charged with possession of marijuana.


Richard Wilfredo Orellana, of Perry, reported a motor vehicle theft in the 500 block of Fourth Street.


July 8, 2017


Conar Allen Hornsby, of 302 South Cedar Street, Jefferson, was arrested at the Perry Police Department on a Dallas County Warrant for failure to appear, original charge of possession of controlled substance - marijuana.


Jesse Donavon Taggart, of 602 Otley Street was arrested and charged with second degree sex abuse, indecent exposure and dissemination and exhibition of obscene material to minor.


Victor Chicas, of Perry, reported that someone had stoeln an orange Kokanee Kayak from their yard in the 2800 block of First Street. Approximate value was $480.


Manuel Ochoa, of 1716 West Third Street, Perry, was arrested in the 800 block of 18th Street and charged with driving under suspension.


Javier Cruz-Conseco, of 706 Virginia Avenue, Des Moines, was arrested in the 600 block of First Avenue and charged with OWI - first offense and underage possession of alcohol.


July 7, 2017


James Huntington Kezar Jr., of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 1800 block of Warford. Reported that his house had been egged around 10 or 11 the night before.


A vehicle accident occured in the 1300 block of West Second Street. A vehicle driven by Laura Gonzalez was traveling southbound on West Second Street when contact was made with a vehicle driven by Dustin Lynch, which was backing out of a driveway. Minor damage was reported to Gonzalez’s passenger side and to Lynch’s rear bumber. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.


Andy Alexis Ortiz, of 2508 Perry Park, was arrested in the 2700 block of Willis Avenue and charged with possession of alcohol underage.


July 6, 2017


Shirley Folden, of Perry, reported false pretenses/swindle in the 1800 block of Third Street. Reported that she received four calls, stating they were from the IRS. She hung up all four times.


July 5, 2017


Roger Dale Bousman Jr., of Perry, reported breaking and entering at 1708 First Street, Perry. Reported that he was at his sister’s house, the former location of Rays of Sunshine Daycare, found that the back door had been kicked in, a bag of property on the ground and alcohol bottle that has been broken.


Darell Lynn Edmondson, of Perry, reported false pretenses/swindle in the 2000 block of Willis Avenue. Reported that someone called and asked if he would like to make a donation to the Police Department. He was told that they were not making such calls.


July 4, 2017


Aaron Embrey, of 1008 16th Street was arrested at his home address on a Dallas County Warrant for failure to appear, original charge of driving while barred.


Ramiro Guzman, of 1724 West Third Street, Perry, was arrested at his home address and charged with two counts of assault causing bodily injury.


July 3, 2017


A vehicle driven by Ruth Correa was driving eastbound of Warford and a vehicle driven by Edith Hefflefinger was driving northbound on 10th Street when the two cars collided. Hefflefinger was cited for failure to yield to a yield sign.


David Randall Riedle of 116 Cherry Avenue, Ames, was arrested at Third and Warford and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine, first offense.


July 2, 2017


Candy Alice Gardner, of Perry, reported theft from a vehicle in the 1200 block of Bateman Street. Reported she didn’t believe anything was missing but some change was stolen.


Adam Dale Mendez, of 2901 Iowa Street, Apt. 3, Perry, was arrested in the 1800 block of Warford Street and charged with public intoxication.


Nicolai John Nicolaisen, of Perry, reported theft from a vehicle in the 1400 block of Sixth Street. Reported that some stuff had been taken from the glove box.


Nancy Lee Dunbar, of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 500 block of Clearview Street. She reported that someone had cut her flowers.


Teresa Marie Kresse, of Perry, reported theft from a vehicle in the 2200 block of Willis Avenue. Reported that a charger, sunglasses and a few other things.


July 1, 2017


Courtney Marie Boblett, of Perry, reported that she had rear ended a vehicle on Highway 141 at First Street.


Kathryn Taylor, of Perry, reported theft in the 1400 block of Fifth Street. She advised she had her purse stolen from her vehicle.


Pauline Leota Ortiz, of Perry, reported her back license plate had been stolen in the 1200 block of 18th Street.

Danielle Massukado, of Perry, reported that $45 had been stolen from her truck in the 1300 block of 11th Street.


Mark Alan Eppert, of Perry, reported destruction of property in the 1200 block of 18th Street. Reported that the windows to the KDLS press box had been busted out.


Yris Veronica Platero, of Perry, reported harassment in the 600 block of Fifth Street.
