According to reports from the Perry Police Department, a vandalism incident on Otley Street involving both orange and black paint was noted on Monday, June 19.
At 2:54 p.m., the Perry Police received a call pertaining vandalism.
The caller advised officers that a truck belonging to Juan Hernandez-Cubillio, had black paint thrown on the passenger side of the truck. Along with black paint, orange paint was also found on a Mercury vehicle.
Later the same day, at 6:13 p.m., another caller on Otley Street addressed officers of a similar occurrence.
Around 7 a.m., the caller noticed orange paint on their vehicle, followed by a splatter of black and orange paint on her house.
“Early morning, there was another call of trash that was thrown in the street, so we think those are all linked together,” Chief Eric Vaughn said.
After Sargent Archer responded to the house call, he later found vandalism of orange paint on the front railing and steps of the 2209 Otley residence, as well as paint on a vehicle and at the front of the residence of 2204 Otley.
“We think someone threw the trash in the street, threw it on a couple of the cars and threw it on the homes later,” Chief Vaughn said.
