Misty Ray, who stands accused of multiple counts of child endangerment following the death of her adopted 16-year-old daught, Sabrina Ray, entered a plea of not guilty on Monday, May 22, Dallas County Court Records reveal. Sabrina Ray was found deceased at her residence weighing just fifty-six pounds on Friday, May 12.
Both Marc and Misty Ray were arrested on Thursday, May 18 and taken to the Dallas County Jail in Adel.
The couple are each charged with one count of child endangerment resulting in death, four counts of child endangerment resulting in serious injury, and three counts of neglect or abandonment of a dependent person.
They currently have a cash-only bond set at $1 million.
According to Dallas County Court records, both Marc and Misty Ray’s Preliminary Hearing was scheduled for Friday, May 25 at 11 a.m before Misty Ray’s preliminary hearing was waived on Tuesday, May 23.
Marc Ray will appear in court tomorrow for a bond review as well as his preliminary hearing. Marc has not entered a plea.
Marc Ray is being represented by Public Defender, Jake Feurerhelm, and Misty Ray is represented by Public Defender, Sean Spellman.
