If you are looking for an activity this week in the Perry area, check out these three options:

1. Fiber Arts Fair: Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The bulk of the fair will take place at La Poste where warm cookies, a bloody mary bar, as well as classes will take place. Along with the La Poste location, goers can expect to travel along to different locations: the Community Room of the Perry Public Library, Ben’s Five & Dime, Citizens Bank Gallery, Mary Rose Collection and Peterson Designs.

The Fabric Fair will include fellow spinners, weavers, knitters and crocheters, Mary Rose Owner, Mary Rose Nichols mentioned. Around thirteen vendors have registered to take part in the event, which includes merchants who will be selling textile supplies.

2. Dallas County Toddler Fest: Saturday, May 6 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Dallas County Fairgrounds in Adel. Free to the public. Sponsored by 4RKids and the Dallas County Library Association, toddlers will be able to have fun with booths featuring the Blank Park Zoo, Spuer Heroes, Face Painting, Iowa Public TV, Princesses, Farm Animals and ID Cards.

3. Let’s Get Moving…and Have Fun! Sunday, May 7 at Forest Park Museum, starting at 1:30 p.m. Movement doesn’t just make you healthier, it makes you happy! On a Sunday afternoon, take a walk on the lovely grounds of the Forest Park Arboretum, followed by a lively discussion on how to make your life more active and joyful (without joining a gym or spending a lot of money!). A registered dietitian will help you talk about ways to make physical activity a bigger part of your daily life. Then you can try out some stretch band activities and plan your own walking program. Wear comfortable, loose clothing and athletic shoes. This session is FREE. Stretch bands and pedometers will be available for sale at $1.50 each.
