A suspect has been arrested by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department after an early-morning armed robbery at Medicap Pharmacy, located at 504 14th Street, Dallas Center. The suspect was identified as Stacey Nichole Oliver, age 32, from Des Moines.
Oliver has been charged with First Degree Robbery, two counts of Attempted Burglary, Possession of Burglar Tools, two counts of Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief, and Possession with Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Drug.
According to a press release from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Department, dispatch was informed of an armed robbery at 6:55 a.m.
The release states that the pharmacy did turn over an amount of Hydrocodone to Oliver during the incident before she fled the scene ahead of the Deputies’ arrival on the scene. The witness said that Oliver had a black handgun that she used in the robbery.
Deputies received a description of Oliver from pharmacy employees. She was described as a smaller-framed white female dressed in all black with black cloth on her head and sunglasses, and the vehicle in which she fled the scene was described as a black Hyundai Sonata with dark window tint.
Shortly after investigating the scene, the vehicle was found in the 25000 block of Highway 169. With assistance from the Iowa State Patrol, Dallas County Deputies searched the area and after a short foot chase, located Oliver and took her into custody.
Dallas County Deputies recovered the stolen Hydrocodone, the clothes the suspect was wearing and the handgun during the arrest.
