On Monday, March 13, the Perry Community School Board met in the High School Library for a regular meeting. The following items were discussed throughout the duration of the meeting.

Approval of the 17-18 Instructional & Extra-Curricular Activity Fees

The School Board voted to approve an increase in the cost of fees for instructional and extra-curricular activities. The new cost for activity passes will rise $5 for students, making the new cost $40. For adults, the price was raised $10, making an adult pass $100.

The price change was suggested as a way to accommodate an increase in officiating fees, as well as an overall cost for equipment, services and supplies for the Raccoon River Conference.

Contracts approved for Administrators for 2017-18

The School Board approved the recommended 2.43 percent Total Package increase for all administrators.

According to information provided by the Perry Community School Board, “the administrative group includes employees with contracts ranging from 248-260 days, with the exception of Dean which has a 210 day contract.”

Contracts approved for Special Services Group for 2017-18

The School Board approved the recommended 2.45 percent Total Package increase for the Special Services group.

The Special Services Group includes those who have contracts that range from 193 to 260 days.
