A Casey’s employee reported a gas drive off worth $37. Believes she may have forgotten to pay after putting air in her tires. Contact was made with the suspect and she advised that she did not pump any gas. Caseys employee no longer has a suspect vehicle.

Loyd Travis Landgrebe from Fareway reported a theft from the store. Security footage revealed that the thief had taken a bag of chicken and stuffed it in her pants or shirt and walked right out without paying. Jeannette K. Hornsby, 70, of 1602 Second Street, Perry, was arrested and charged with Theft, Third Degree.

Casey Christopher Kirk, 22, of 202 West Guthrie Street, Linden, was arrested at 323 141st Street and M Avenue in Perry and charged with OWI Second Offense. A caller had reported seeing Kirk driving westbound in the eastbound lanes on Highway 141.

February 25, 2017

Anthony Noe Ruiz-Rivas, age 21, of Perry, was arrested in the 700 block of 26th Street and charged with OWI First Offense.

Kisha Danielle Niebuhr of Perry called and advised that she was locked inside at the 4 Seasons Carwash and couldn’t get the door to open. Made contact with Scott Hughes, who responded.

A caller advised of a man and woman digging around in the debris of the house fire at 1402 Evelyn Street, Perry.

February 24, 2017

Robert Riley Cornelison of Perry called and advised that he was involved in an accident at First Street and Highway 141.

A vehicle driven by Carlos Barco was traveling west on Willis Avenue and went to stop at the intersection of Ninth Street and Willis when he was struck from behind by a yellow school bus, driven by Michelle Proctor. Minor damage to both bumpers was reported. Total damage approximately $200.

February 23, 2017

Dallas County advised of a chase coming into Perry on Highway 141 westbound. Officer Aswegan and Sgt. Peterson assisted in the pursuit. Suspect was taken into custody near Bagley after losing control of his vehicle and then fleeing on foot. No charges from Perry PD.

Alan Randolph Heywood Jr. of 2305 First Avenue in Perry, was arrested at Second and Warford and charged with Carrying Weapons.

Susan Kimberly Peters of Perry reported breaking and entering at Four Seasons Mini Storage at 3001 Willis Avenue, Perry. Reported that the lock had been cut off and was laying on the ground in front of unit G34.

Jerry Allen Hornsby of 1602 2nd Street, Perry, reported that someone had stolen a bicycle within the last 2-3 days. Estimated loss was $1,000.

Shane Tylor Smith was arrested on a Dallas County warrant for Theft 2nd Degree.

Lee Coons of Perry reported that he had advertised a bike on Craigslist. An unknown person contacted him about the bike and sent him a fraudulent check.

February 22, 2017

Theresa Ann McCane of Perry reported that her vehicle had been hit by another car while legally parked approximately a week ago. $900 worth of damage reported.

John Oakley Helmers of Perry walked into the police department and reported that his son had damaged the soccer fields by accident. His son did not realize he had done it and he will contact the city himself.

Brandon Taylor Mims of 2946 Kading Road, Perry, was arrested and charged with Interference With Official Acts.

William Warren Lawrence of 1323 Sixth Street, Perry, was arrested at 705 First Street and charged with Theft Third Degree. Lawrence was also served with a no trespass notice and is not allowed on Dollar General property.
