A vote on whether or not to construct a new Dallas County Sheriff’s Office will take place for the third time this May, and to get the word out about the need, Dallas County Sheriff, Chad Leonard, will host a series of public information meetings, jail tours and will speak at City Council meetings throughout the rest of February and all of March and April.

Public information meetings and jail tours will take place on March 5, March 19, April 2 and April 23. The Meeting and tours will start at 5 p.m. each of those nights with tours starting approximately every 30 minutes until 7 p.m.

Those wishing to attend should meet in the front lobby of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.

In addition, Leonard will also hold public meetings to discuss the plans for the facility on the following dates:
